Alu'ra Di'iden was born to the Tsuna clan of the Hraichi two days before the Twins of Fate were born. And, as such, he was decided to be the rightful and "approved" husband for Kalika B'iren. However, Alu was not happy about this. He spent most of his childhood working on improving his weapon skills, and even became a general in the Surin Army....but he had no idea he would run into Kalika...and at the behest of a human town.
Not having any idea what had happened, he kept his identity to himself. It wasn't until he met Professor Sinn face-to-face that he wanted to tell Kalika who he was.
Sinn told him that if he worked for him he would be free of her. He told him of how she deserved what was coming to her. He told him that he would not have to worry about anything. He told him to give up Kalika. And he did. He gave the Professor everything he needed to know about the Goddess-to-be...and hated himself from that moment on for it.
On the last day he and Kalika were together, she helped him in battle (and WELL might I add), but after Alu told her who he was...that they were destined to be together...she ran from him. She didn't believe it, or maybe it was because she didn't want to believe it...she wanted to be free.
And she ran right into Professor Sinn's set up.
