A deity is a recognized preternatural or supernatural immortal being, who may be thought of as holy, divine, or sacred, held in high regard, and respected by believers, often religiously referred to as a god or goddess.
Deities are respected, and those that can maintain a physical form are even moreso, sometimes feared. Every deity in Neverwere and Andromeda has a domain that they control, because there are more than one god or goddess in that realm. Other gods or goddesses that do not have a domain are seen as the all powerful deity, who controls everything.
