Short History

Fanra was born to a poor family of humans, oddly enough, being the odd one out with ears and a tail. The parents saw this as a sign when her and her twin sister Bani were born, trying to give them a better life than they ever had, though their plans to do so landed them in debt beyond capacity. They were forced to give the girls up for adoption when the two were about 6 years old, and the foster homes separated the two.

Fanra's home was the most horrid place to be. The parents were always fighting, and never took care of her like the child she was at the time, so she ran away a multitude of times, learning how to steal efficiently so she could take care of herself. Unfortunately, her ego got the better of her and she attempted to steal from the royal inhabitants, which got her caught by the guards.

When she was dragged into the castle, shackled and beaten, she was taken into the court so that the king could see who was causing the trouble. You know, so he could put the thief to death. But when the king saw that she was a catgirl, he had the wise-men look at her more closely. They found that she was tattooed with a symbol on the back of her neck with the royal seal, impossible as it sounded.

Fanra, however, didn't know of the tattoo, and they came to the conclusion that she was the fated Guardian of the Celestial Gate. She couldn't believe it, and then, to her liking, the king had her living in the palace to be taught the ways of the Guardian, with magic, fighting abilities, and giving her the life that her parents had always hoped for.
